Humans After All: Daft Punk Art Show
The coming of the new Daft Punk album may be the most important event in recorded human history thus far, a proper reception for the once and future alien robot DJ overlords. Showing at Gauntlet Gallery in San Francisco from May 18th through June 15th, we convene to pay tribute in the hopes that all of us around the world can get lucky one more time. Click on the pics for artist credit.
I need someone to come with me!

This is some kinda bullshit. :/
“Just a year after launching its $50-per-month plan, Adobe has made its Creative Cloud the only way to get the new versions of its full software suite. Customers ‘overwhelmingly’ prefer it.”
What the FUCK.
I’m not sure if Adobe is a software company or a case study in how to get as many people to remorselessly pirate your programs as is humanly possible.
Honestly, a full suite subscription would be a perfectly decent idea if it wasn’t the only option (though the option to do it piecemeal for smaller fees would be vastly superior). Fuck the cloud movement.
That’s the thing - if you need the full suite for work, then a subscription could make sense. But it’s an outrageous system for individuals using primarily only one program. I’m not going to spend $600 every year to be able to use one program. Who cares if you always get the most recent update? I’m still running CS3, and haven’t needed any of the recent updates.
My whole art team is talking about this as well. We’ll really have to wait to see how it unfolds in reality, but merh, my first instinct is to run screaming. I’m pretty happy sticking to older version of Adobe from here on out. I dont want to pay a chunk of change for stuff I dont use. Maybe now’s the time for other companies to step up and challenge the big machine that is the industry standard of Adobe.
This is stupid beyond reason.
I keep thinking “no, I’m just exaggerating in my hatred towards Adobe policies, maybe they’ll do something nice next” and yet… they never fail to surprise me.
This is almost better than that time they said it makes no sense and helps no one to make tools that run fast and avoid using unnecessary ram because everyone has powerful computers nowadays.
I’m judging you Adobe. You and your choices.
this is my favorite video of the year so far
